Good Luck NYC
UX & UI Design and Web Development
Good Luck NYC, a custom tattoo studio, based in Brooklyn, New York, required a new website to allow users to browse their in-house artists and tattoos, with the ability to contact each individual artist to book appointments.
The website was designed to show users the experience of visiting the Good Luck NYC studio by using standout imagery of the studio and artists, while also portraying the unique brand culture of Good Luck NYC.
1. The Problem
Good Luck NYC are a well-known tattoo studio in New York, featuring popular artists from around the world, but the studio did not have a online presence featuring each artist's work and a way to contact each artist directly to arrange appointments.
2. Design & Solution
The UX research stage outlined that an individual contact form to each artist would improve the flow of enquiries, while an image-first approach would also draw users to the lifestyle and personality of the artists. A page for each artist was also designed to work as a portfolio for users to view and then book directly.
3. Development
The website was developed on Squarespace. This platform allowed the client to easily make updates, which was an objective outlined in discovery.
Each artist was visible on the artists page, with an individual page to view their work and contact them directly. This offered users a choice to browse or select an artist quickly.
Results
evolved Booking process
Introducing individual booking forms for each artist offered a streamlined way for users to book appointments. Simplifying the journey between the studio and booking with a specific artist.
increased online presence

SEO optimised
